A recorded delivery is different from a special delivery in that all you get is a signature at the other end. A Special delivery is guarenteed next working day before 1pm and insured for loss etc.

If you have left a special instruction that your neighbour can sign for letters then i'm afraid you could be screwed.

Get the number from ticketzone of the recorded and check on our website to see who signed for it.

I'm getting worried about mine now.

Firstly, the money STILL hasn't been taken from my account. I'm waiting to hear from my parents if the tickets have come, but I'm a bit concerned.

Also, my confirmation email says the total including booking fee and postage is £276.65 for 5 tickets. Then it says they will debit £331.65 from card number ***********O

I am absolutely devasted and stunned tonight.

The tickets were delivered yesterday by recorded delivery but as I was out so they could not be delivered.  There is a sign on the front door saying that if I am out please deliver to a certain neighbour.  Rather worryingly the neighbour does not have them, so it looks as if I am stuffed.

I am going ring the post office in the morning but from previous experience I know that there is very little that they can do about something has only been sent recorded delivery and they only insure things upto £40 and the tickets were worth almost £200.

Does anybody have any bright ideas?

Take that sign off your front door.

I'll ring first thing tomorrow. Hopefully all will be well and I won't have to resort to an uncharacteristically angry voice!

I assume you know the tickets were attempted to be delivered yesterday because you had a card through the door?  If so, it should state on there whether the tickets have been returned to the sorting office or the house no they were left with?

Many thanks for everybody who has commented on here.

After phoning the local Royal Mail office this morning 4 times and leaving some rater irate message on their voicemail they finally answered.  They actually have the tickets at their office, the woman on the phone actually had the cheek to ask me if they were football tickets.

The postmen clearly wrote on his card that they had been delivered to a neighbour, when in fact they had been taken back to the delivery office.

After much anger, they have offered to deliver them today to the neighbour.

What could possibly go wrong........

I think I would want to go and collect them to ensure I had them rather than rely on them deleivering again

Ticketzone managed to take £1200 out of my account without a confirmation (only wanted 2, got billed for 18). Was a bit sphincter twitching for a time, but thankfully all sorted now...
