It’s usually polyps - at least it was last time. Can’t  remember if they got rid of some while they were up there or not.

It’s that pre-colonoscopy gallon of foul tasting laxative that’s the problem.

Did you have any symptoms or was it the standard check the NHS offer.

No symptoms. Just part of the age related roll out of screening tests.

I have dodgy guts so I've sent a few off over the years but never had a need for the colonoscopy.

That will probably change this month  though because I've got bupa through work and they'll use any excuse for procedures.

Thanks for all the advice gents, I knew that using a forum pretty much entirely populated by middle aged men would come in handy one day.
