Get in touch with Wroughton Wolves
Had already spoken with them, unfortunately with my stupidly early shifts, getting to the other side of Swindon and back for training whilst still getting a proper night's sleep before work the next day would be near impossible. Thanks for the nudge though!

My kid's football team upping their yearly fees by more than £200. Anyone know of a div 5/4 u13s team in need of a keeper?
Oof, that's a hike. Are you able to say which team he currently plays for out of interest? Where are you based in Swindon?

Probably at Swindon and we’ve started charging.

Oh I'll happily chuck them under the bus Draycott, gone from per term fees to a monthly fee, worked it out and it's £500 for the year including kit, training and matches, up from £329 this season just gone. They reworked their fees as well after my initial post as so many parents complained, was originally £540 in total. A parent has managed the team for 1 1/2 seasons as the Draycott coach could only do the training, then this year we've had another parent have to take over training as well. Took until January to order new kit as the kids have grown since last year, some are still waiting for their tops... I know there'll likely be issues with whatever team we might end up with, but this is just the straw that broke the camel's back really. We're north swindon way, trained at Kingsdown and GWA so far.

A few years ago Draycott used to train on the fields entering Tadpole but think the local residents complained about the parents cars parking outside houses etc.

Bob Vylan. A complete idiot for doing what he did, and should be held to the same laws as the riot inciters last year. But that's not what annoys me. It's this https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c70rrld1nlpoYou can't criticise the Israeli state and it's actions without automatically being a Jew hating nazi. I get certain phrases are linked to organisations, and maybe that's where it's coming from. But I contest there is a Jew card just as there is a race card. For the record I think all religions are equally stupid, but I've never wished death on any of them.

I wonder if you did a Venn diagram of sympathy to the cause of Palestinian Action, Just Stop Oil, Extinction Rebellion, Antifa, it would be just a single circle The Guido Fawkes mask has been replaced with a Keffiyeh.

For the record I think all religions are equally stupid, but I've never wished death on any of them. TBH its the hypocrisy from all over the place that just stinks, there seems to have been pretty much media silence when an Israeli government member said this for instance.... https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20250225-israels-deputy-knesset-speaker-calls-for-killing-subhuman-palestinians/ and so many who have been silent when kids were getting the shit bombed out of them are now hand wringing when some bellend said some stuff on stage at Glastonbury... But its no different to the proscribing of Palestinian Action as a terrorist group, the courts (and juries) have previously found on numerous occasions that protest including doing things to military aircraft is justified.... including one case where the defence was led by a certain KC....

I wouldn't have said what the band said...but a band has very little power to actually cause the death of the IDF en mass, whereas members of the Likud party and the knesset have been expertly killing Gazans in line with their (individually) stated goal. Where is the line of acceptability?

Young people have been using music to protest for donkey’s years. Who remembers this from the Vietnam days
‘Hey, hey LBJ How many kids did you kill today’
Yes it was crass and distasteful - especially as this all kicked off with hundreds of young people being slaughtered at a music festival.
Not just this conflict, but it’s crazy how people are being criminalised for saying a few ‘hurty words’ and supposedly offending people. So fucking what if someone is offended. Even worse are those who are offended on behalf of somebody else.

Yeah. I agree. Thats first one with the arsehole 'in the big leagues now' and Klopps 'Did you enjoy your vacation' 'oh I needed it'. And yet he seems to have a vacation that consisted of one night at a hotel for £130. That plot hole and the fact that it seems like he really shouldn't need to be a shill for a hotel site really gets on my nerves.

Additionally, he's not even the main "character" in the ad, he's a secondary character, which considering his profile, also mildly annoys me.
