I'm not massive on either chicken or fast food, but Popeyes is delicious. I find KFC disgusting. And much prefer Wendy's to McDonalds. A Shake Shack has just opened in Oxford; I've seen them in London for years but haven't tried it before and they're supposed to do good burgers & milkshakes, maybe a Five Guys rival but not as sloppy.

Genuinely think the chicken in KFC is better than Popeyes. UK boneless KFC chicken vs Popeyes counterpart anyway.
Never has a Wingstop but mean to try it when I get the chance.

This will be one for LL since he's in Bratfut frequently. And I guess it's relevant as Town play them on Sat. I spent a lot of time in the glamourous city of Bradford during large parts of 2O22 and spent several occasions going to Burgarize, which has an awesome but very simple bunch of burgers. Their spicy chicken fillet ones are great. And by spice, I mean like actual proper seasoned hot buggars. Another place that way is Dixy's Chicken. It's one of those surprise places, got average ratings, the place is like a refitted scabby old cabbies waiting room but whatever they do to their marinated chicken, it's banging. And the people buying in there were seldom white but mostly Caribbean people who seemed to all order the Hot Jerk Chicken deal. That's a good sign if they're prepared to buy their jerk chicken at a takeaway, rather than have whatever is at homes. Hope you enjoy your Popeye's BO. Not had them before - it's usually KFC regardless of what city I'm but they have massively declined. None of the coatings seem very fresh any more. Always try to seek out a local eatery as well wherever i'm at

I thought they had all disappeared! Basingstoke is the nearest and surprised there isn’t one in Bristol.

Next meeting is by Teams the one in March I think we’re going to Aldo’s in Cleckheaton. Yet to have a Ruby there but I live in hope. See if it lives up to my old man’s standards.

Wasn't the Swindon Wimpy down near Our Price Records? Roughly where Superdrug is now.

I seem to remember it along canal walk on the same side to where HSBC is, just maybe 10 yards or so away.

I was thinking top of Town just down from the Nationwide Building Society so maybe there was more than one.

Popeye's Sixfields Northampton was not bad. The chicken burger whilst tasty lacked that zinger heat I would want from a properly spiced burger. The spicy chips and fiery jalapeno sauce packed a punch.
