The most British thing I’ve read regarding this is the stranded Brits have drunk Malaga airport out of beer. Makes you proud.

bummer, but at least they know the score I suppose.

this time last year I had a 2.5 day delay after a WestJet pilot damaged the plane in a ladder that shouldn't be there. So frustrating but what can you do

Looks like another 20 hours at the airport for us.

That's tough even for adults to cope with but for a child who dosen't understand that's really hard

Just curious how you have access to floats and towels but can't access your phone charger?  Hmmm

If you now know you won't be flying back, you should probably go and start pushing the desk for a hotel room. As above {and a mate of mine is a commercial jet pilot}, it's highly unlikely any delayed plane landing now will return tonight, unless they have some pilots on standby - I'll stick my neck out and say that chance would be very low.

It’s shit and somewhat unavoidable
Just frustrating seen other airlines cancel their flights and get their passengers out whilst Jet2 left us hanging.

They claim they are trying to find accommodation for us but they aren’t going to find it are they. Other airlines have beat them to it…

Same thing happened to the wife and I in Madeira with Thompson.

We have our suitcases now. Issue is getting to a charge point.
There is probably 2000 people still in the airport - let alone the 1000s who have already left. I’d be amazed if there are any hotel rooms left on the south of the island

Jet2 do tend to be pretty good. I know in the past they have sent me back to the accoms I had vacated {because those due to arrive also didn't arrive, so the accoms would be empty anyway}. Keep pestering them...I know it might not be your style {it also very much could be but tiredness can curb it} but a decent night's kip {come on, every parents dream with young kid/s} is best all round for all of you. The worse they can say eventually is no.

Do you have insurance cover for that anyway {I know, I know}

Fair, my sneaky airport charging tip is usually in or near one of the cafes. A side area for cleaners and there's usually a charging point near there near the floor. Could also ''accidentally'' unplug a vending machine too

''oops, my phone charger somehow fell into the charging port at the exact same time that the vending machine plug ejected itself from the same port''  Cheesy

Failing that, and i'm sure you've thought of it but you can use NFC on a lot of phones now to drain a bit of battery off another, so if someone is hogging a socket, the least humanity can do is share a bit of Lithium-Ion juice  Wink

01:27 and we are out the airport and on a coach…
One of the last flights out but one of the earlier to be cancelled - it is what is it I suppose

Still yet to find out when we are actually going to fly home…

…if anyone’s interested.

I take it on a coach to some accoms?

Looking at current schedule...There's supposedly a Jet2 departing for Brizzle at 1100.

If nothing else, it'll mean you hopefully get some rest at probably get through your door at home at around 5pm

ah man I feel for you. hopefully you get some sleep.

obviously the problem now isn't whether there's a flight today, it's the spare capacity on them.  Hopefully with the end of school holidays there might be some/extra flights laid on. hope you get prioritised as with a child

good luck
