I'm kind of hoping that this will be the equivalent of "doing a Ratner" in the US mortgage market.

Being tailgated very badly on the way home from work, big van with TESCO plastered over it. Don't you think I can read a licence plate in my rear view mirror? Dick head.

Some truck/van drivers. Manage to average about 35mph on an A road for 10 miles, but as soon as you reach a stretch of dual carriageway to pass them they manage to speed up to 70mph. This is not an articulated truck either. Deliberate and annoying.

No they don’t.

I was stuck behind a train of domestic vehicles on the Fosse way today. 40 mph on 50-60 MPH roads, with limited opportunities to overtake. I’ll give you many more instances of being impeded by domestic vehicles in the execution of my 70,000 yes, 70,000 MPA travels on the highways and byways of the U.K. I’ll happily concede that my fellow commercial vehicle drivers are not angels 100% of the time, however, I’ll raise you that we are under more scrutiny than domestic drivers with harsher penalties for our or any transgressions thereof.

Edit. Driving slower in a commercial vehicle is often due to, weight of load (within legal perimeters, as fines for overweight loads is rightly so swingeing), looking for an address, road conditions that have more effect on a large vehicle than a car, to name a few.

Got just shy of 300bhp  Wink

My moan is about one or two that I have come across. Pootling when they could easily add 10 to 15mph to their speed. Then finding 30mph when they realise people have an opportunity to pass. It's irritating.

Wankers in cars who are oblivious to an over taking commercial vehicle (CV) from the inside lane to middle (motorway) or outside on a dual carriage way even when i’m indicating well, well in advance of the intended manoeuvre and they crawl past you when they have plenty of time to let you out by moving over particularly on a M/Way but have no problem moving over for a car further on. They fail to understand that most newer CV will have their speed set by CC to maximise fuel and make their long days in the cab more comfortable and darting in and out of traffic is not possible. In other words they are blinkered and fail to look further than their fucking steering wheel.

Always amazed me how many bad drivers there are out especially when everybody considers themselves a good driver

Something doesn’t add up

Same as when everyone was moaning about people bulk buying bog roll...

From experience anyone who claims they are a good driver is invariably not, same as anyone who claims to be funny or fun!

I'm an average driver on a good day.

I know my limitations and have several levels of training under my belt including the old HGV class 2, Police response driving (in a posted speed limit stick to it, in National Speed Limit- as fast as is safe), 4X4 driving Police and military blah blah blah.

Few drivers are as good as they think they are. Most are of a standard where they couldn't pass their driving test now I suspect.

Oh, I've been a div when someone has annoyed me, but I try to keep my distance in general. Always felt I have a 6th sense to anticipate people's actions too.
