Myself and Mrs Horlock07 have dropped an almighty bollock....
We have signed up to do Sober for October forgetting that we are on holiday for a week in the middle of October, present thinking is take the week off and then do an extra week at the start of November, but is that a cop out?

Just walked the dogs in the fields behind the house and there was a young fella lying asleep in the field. No cover, no nothing. I asked if he was OK and if I could do anything for him but just got a grumpy 'No'.
What can you do?

Ask him if he wants to write a poem about it.... or maybe do some art work or drama. http://www.doorwayproject.org.uk/

My kids had this maths question - I can't solve it so if anyone else can I'd like to understand it.
• This is a 5 digit number. • The units digit is the same as the thousands digit. • There is one 4 in the number. • The units digit is the same as the last digit of this year. • The ten thousand digit is two more than the thousands digit.
So I've got 97xx7 which one of the x=4 - surely we are missing info ??

It's to prepare them for AQA and OCR "O" and "A" Level papers later in life which are riddled with errors. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/education/education-news/exam-board-gcse-a-level-papers-errors-apology-the-name-of-the-boards-uk-students-pupils-a7789376.html

Looks like it must be missing some info... unless they're being underhand with "There is one 4 in the number". If you read that as "There is 1 4 in the number" then that would make the number 97147
