Ha!  As I posted that, I had an inkling that I may have posted something like it before.  When you hang around a forum like this for long enough, you're bound to start repeating yourself.

Here's a similar effort from nearly 5 years ago.

Ridiculous made up words.  I read one this morning that nearly made my blood boil: mixology.

For the uninitiated, 'mixology' is a word used by the drinks industry to describe making cocktails.  You can see the thought process.

'OK lads, we're going to have think of a word to describe mixing lots of alcoholic drinks to make another alcoholic drink.  It's got to have 'mix' in it, and then we'll need something else to make it sound as if it's really hard.  I know: 'ology'.  Then people will think it's like biology or physiology, just with cocktails.  Mixology.  Brilliant.'

oh, Google wasn't lying then. Bar tenders are not scientists. strip them of their 'ology'

I think I'm the only one who watches Top Gear who is irritated by the old buffoon who thinks he's funny. Replace him with Vicky Butler-Henderson I say. A car mad bit of totty!

I think most people find him irritating. I don't imagine they can replace him as he owns Top Gear in it's current format. He came up with the format and formed a company with Andy Wilman which owns it and licences it out. I'm guessing he can take it elsewhere should he be sacked.

May is the only truly likeable member of Top Gear in my opinion. And Butler-Henderson would get it.

the differences is you would get a fair hearing, rather than a media led trial, held by an employer backed into a corner by previous witch hunts.

the BBC, through lack of support of their employees, are now backed into a corner should it be shown there were mitigating circumstances or that he didn't actually punch the guy.

if throwing a punch was an automatically sackable offence most football clubs would be down to a 5 a side team by the end of the season.

even the pope said it's OK to get punchy

guilty until proven innocent it is..

oh and I think clarkson sold the format a couple of years ago.

I've been to a few parties populated by bbc producers and news readers, and after 5 minutes, wanted to punch the lot of them. So if you did wallop one JC, good work..

Yeah, allegedly. Which is why he's been suspended, not sacked. My point was around the support he is receiving, petitions, etc, before the findings have been made public. If he's innocent then he should be back, if guilty he should be binned. It seems that most of the people supporting him on Facebook don't care if he hit someone or not.

Didn't the BBC buy their share from them a couple of years ago? He's easily replaced by someone more likeable and more talented.Butler-Henderson would be fine as would Suzi Perry
