I get a lot of 0800 calls on my mobile, my opinion is that if it's important they'll leave a message. They never do.

two more from another one saying that their records indicate that I have been employed in an environment where there has been above normal levels of noise (I haven't),
Did you do the childish thing when someone mentions deafness & say pardon.

Having worked in the Fire Service Emergency control room i can confirm that you do get calls like this from time to time. It is most difficult to try and remain professional whilst on the line to them! I have had the call with the ring on the genitals and also a bloke with his piece stuck in a fence during my time.
Barnard who posts on here also, has probably dealt with a few like this too.
Handcuffs, bottles and my personal favourite, a pair of powerful magnets immovably clamped to a guys plums.

Oh god in heaven I've trapped a bit of skin on my finger between two big neodynium ones before, can't even fucking imagine how painful it must be on the plums.

We got a phone call from my eldest's head teacher on Friday morning, Jacob had wee'd on another kid in the toilets. Couldn't believe he'd do something like this, my missus picked him up from school and asked if he'd been in trouble. He said no, then started crying when she asked him again. She waited to speak to his teacher and asked to talk about what had happened. His teacher looked completely blank until she realised we'd been rung by mistake, it wasn't our Jacob who'd done it, it was another Jacob instead. Went to the headteacher and she just laughed it off, saying she'd ring the right parent next time. Not really good enough! If we hadn't spoken to the teacher we'd have assumed he was lying when he'd actually have been telling the truth.

Read today that Millwall fans who went to Leeds yesterday had to pick their tickets up from the West Yorks Plod at a service station on the motorway.
Fucking disgraceful

Hmmm. Tough on decent Millwall fans, but there's a part of me thinking 'you reap what you sow'.

We were on the Leeds train (changing at Donny yesterday). We thought it strange there weren't any Millwall about and put it down to something like this being likely. Sadly (I suppose) from a personal perspective I suspect it made our journey a whole lot more pleasant especially as there were Brighton on our train plus plenty of West Ham milling around Euston on their way to West Brom.
