Poor kid

What for being photographed in the media whilst his parents admit they are incredibly rude and or disorganised!

As well as being a hate-filled rag, the Mail's a comic as well.  How the #### is that news?!  Petty dispute over less than £20 between two families from Cornwall?  And people will have paid to read that crap.

How many photographs do we need of him and his son looking sad holding the invoice in different rooms of the house - I was just waiting for one at the bottom with him sat on the shitter!

Speaking of kids' birthday parties, we took my youngest and some of his mates to Oasis for a swim party yesterday and was shocked at the appalling run-down state of disrepair it's been allowed to fall into. Changing room seemed to be some sort of converted boiler room, damaged pipes in the locker area "taped off" with sagging/broken tape, half the lockers not working, doors that had rotted right through 3-4" from the bottom, filthy changing rooms/lockers, pool not much better, wave machine broken, drying machine broken, one of the domebusters ride closed, everywhere you looked there was something broken/patched up/needing cleaning or painting/filthy. All in all, it looked like it hadn't had any maintenance work done on it since we last went, which was this time last year. And the food was as shambolic as the swimming facilities were shocking. The kids still enjoyed it, which was the main thing, but we were really shocked at how quickly it's gone downhill and how it's been allowed to fall into such an appalling state of disrepair.

Fortnight? There's more than a fortnight's work needs doing there. That's months of neglect, if not more, will take months to put right. The place is falling apart (literally in the case of the doors and pipes). And that's just the bits we could see, god knows how bad the bits you can't see are

No. But we've dealt with it appropriately by sending Russian Mafia hit squads to take out the families concerned.

You can thank our wonderful Tory council for that. Tossing the leisure facilities aside.

Well, if it is due to the hiving off to the private sector, then it's an object lesson in how not to outsource.

Maybe they're having the same row with the council about who's supposed to pay for basic repairs and maintenance as Lee Power?
