I defined it as a nice game...ie nothing to lose and much to gain in terms of revenue, exposure etc.

It's always good to see a sizeable crowd and big names in the opposition...we had 10,500+ in pre-season when the soon to be world's most expensive player scored a decent goal, but didn't make that a big game.

Yesterday had a bit of a competitive edge....but for me lacked the gut churning excitement of Saturday's big game.

I defined it as a nice game..
... which is precisely what it was. A very nice pleasant distraction from the serious business of building a team that can compete in the League

Indeed. And hopefully persuaded a few who haven't been before/in a while that we're worth watching and they might like to come back again. And a thrilling experience for some of the younger fans who will hopefully nag their Dads into bringing them again. Which are also nice.

The unbelievable ignorance of many fans of other clubs.

A quote from the Preston forum about our upcoming game on Saturday...

Quote
I don't understand how they can get away with loaning six players from Spurs? i mean Watford are the worse culprits but surely the system needs addressing.

How can he get it so very wrong, wrong about the amount of loans and also wrong that any loophole has to be closed as it was closed last season.  Roll Eyes

I think Sky said that Luongo was one of the loanees still. Although they might be wrong as they also said we're in League 2.
