I had an agency call me two weeks ago asking where in the UK I was, I asked him if he realised he was calling me in China, he thought I was joking for about ten minutes.  He called a couple more times and each time asked if I was still in China, mate you started the number with 0086.......

At least they've managed to ring you. I've clearly written my number on my CV with +47blahblah but this seems to be too confusing for agencies who email me asking me to call them and I can never get hold of them.

A lot of the agencies will call me because the type of role I do is in demand now and they can make pretty good money from it.  About a month a go I found a job but the agency refused to call me, I just kept searching, found another agency with the same role, they called, telephone interview and got offered the job.

I thought you were going to university, sure if your over 21 you could get a place through clearing as a mature student.  Thats what I did back in 98' (may have changed since then)

Are you moving back to the UK then or are these agencies dealing with Chinese companies?

I'm hoping to go to university either next year or the year after but need something in the meantime.

Hopefully heading back to UK, found out father in law has cancer so may have to stay for a while longer.
