Ian Tomlinson's pikey stepson that keeps lipping off in the media.

"It's never been about money." Of course it has you wide boy prat

So let's imagine it's your old man whose death was caused by an unprovoked police attack.  Do you think you might want to 'lip off' after that?  Of course you would.  You'd be first in line.

As for 'pikey' and 'wide boy'...he has a cockney accent and a few tattoos.  So fucking what?!  He's a working class boy from London.  What do you expect?

And for the record, his Dad is dead and I'd hazard a guess that it isn't 'all about the money' either.  In similar circumstances none of us, I'm sure, would have any problem with accepting a financial settlement to underline the apology.

I made the mistake of taking your post at face value there, didn't I.

It's not even his Dad you clown.

Yes it was over-reaction by the police officer but the bloke was a homeless mess who had slaughtered his liver. I cannot believe he was was long for this world, whack or no whack.

Fair enough.  He was fair game then.  The police should be able to do as they please with anyone who likes a drink or doesn't have a fixed address.  Works that way in a number of places, now I think about it.  Nigeria, parts of Russia, China.  A model really worth aspiring to.  Well done.

And whether you believe he was long for this world or not is, frankly, irrelevant.

Contemplating applying for a job at McDonalds. I haven't stooped that low since I was 18.

From the match preview on the OS:

"After defeat at London Road on Saturday, Swindon are back at The County Ground as they start their first competitive fixture of the campaign."

This has annoyed me before but why at airports is there not a line for people that say for example, don't have liquids or a computer/ipod in their bag and have travelled by plane before and thus know what to do to ensure getting through security swiftly.

2 examples last week -

1. This guy had a pair of massive boots with lots of metal on them, of course they set off the alarm and then took him about 5 minutes to get the laces undone so they could go through the scanner, why on earth would you want to fly in such stupid footwear?

2. An older gentleman (so is let off a little bit) had some electric items and liquids in his hand luggage, when he was told they had to come out, it took him ages to remember his lock code, and then all the items which he needed to remove were at the bottom of his bag, submerged under his clothes. My patience was wearing thin at this stage as were the queue of people building up behind me.

I guess its meant to mean first competitive fixture at the county ground, but its not the best wording in the world.

Isn't that what you pay fast track for?

I agree though. Heathrow is alright and Gatwick isn't as bad now as the security bit as south terminal is massive. Oslo Gardermoen has grown way too big for it's intended capacity and security takes forever there.

I'm genuinely surprised they don't offer that.

Luxembourg is a small airport but it seems the % of people who don't have a clue is bigger and security can take time. I always seem to pick the slower of the 2 lines as well, typical.

There is no fast track at either Lux or London City airport, although City airport security isn't too bad.

I've only got 3 months of regular plane travel left so will have to grin and bear it.

House hunting in London. Specifically, the way estate agents list properties online.

After two days of looking I've found that every single agent knows that every single house that I might have liked on the website is gone without having to look it up, but LUCKILY FOR ME there is a property available in a slightly worse area, for only slightly more rent every time. They clearly deliberately leave good properties up/make ones up in the first place.

Cunts.
