Stuck at Heathrow, missed my flight to Brazil. The wife is en route there now from Munich. She's gonna go ape shit when she lands and I'm not there.

This planning programme on BBC2. The lack of common sense/intelligence on display from all sorts of people is ridiculous.

I'm also trying to work out what the sympathy of the editor is. It feels like they're trying to be really tricksy about not 'nudging' us into a particular belief, when actually they are.

If that makes sense.

I end up wanting every application opposed by posh NIMBY twats to be approved, especially that one tonight for the village development.

Although I guess I couldn't care that much as I can't be bothered to google what the outcome was

Interesting program though

That was the most interesting one for me. I feel building on green field when there are brown field sites available is just a way for development companies to charge extra for their houses at the end of it, so oppose it. I also felt like the woman from the planning authority was a bit of a set-in-stone kind of person. But I understand that is probably the editor at work. And as you say, NIMBY twats are wankers too.

I found the Zoo one hilarious. The (HAIRPIECE!) guy who opposed it was such a numpty it was embarrassing to watch. He was less opposed to a massive biodome than a boat ride/island-type development that would probably have little impact on his daily life/view.

I have been stuck at my desk for the last 10 minutes, unable to go and pursue a discussion with a female colleague, as I have an unexplained but determined erection.

Whilst purchasing a Mother's Day card earlier there were various cards saying 'To My Girlfriend/Wife/One I Love/Friend (delete as appropriate) on Mother's Day'.

Am I missing something.  Why would anyone buy a card for any of the above on Mothers Day?  Surely the clue of the purpose of the day is in the title?

Well I thought the girlfriend/wife one was for incestuous relationships for people who come from the Forest of Dean.

The Mrs thinks its for expectant mothers.

Ah, hadn't thought of that.  Thanks Mrs Batch (although your explanation is far more interesting  Smiley

It's just dawned on me that I've gone and drunk a cup of tea and it's 9PM.

Not quite sure how I managed to have a brain fart to this degree but this almost certainly means I will get no sleep tonight. Fucksticks.
