I'm not a regular commuter but was on the train up to London last week and had to stand for probably a 1/3rd of the journey due to no spare seats which got me thinking about the capacity of trains. It must be one of the only forms of transport that in an emergency no body would have any reasonable idea of how many passengers were on board at that particular time or am I wrong in assuming that?

Also why are they allowed to have passengers not wearing seatbelts and indeed have passengers standing at very high speed....but Aeroplanes, cars lorries and indeed most forms of transport have them...always wondered how they get away with it Hmmm

Charities who don't bother coming to collect their bags.  I've made the effort to fill the bag and another bin bag with unwanted clothes and left them outside on the drive the night before the collection date.  6 days later and they're still sitting there.  What's the point of distributing the bags in the first place.

My Wife was saying this the other day, it's happened to us the last three times we have left charity bags full of clothes out for collection. I then have to take wet bags either to the clothes banks or charity shops which defeats the object of collection bags. I did read the other week though that immigrants are driving around collecting the bags for their own gains .

Had the bags not got soaking wet, I would have brought them back into the house.  As it is, I've now put them in the boot and will drop off at the Prospect Hospice charity shop when I get a chance.  Like you say though, this completely defeats the object of collection bags.  I even tried ringing the said charity collection helpline number which was on the bag, but 'all operators were busy'.  Next time I get one from them, it will be going straight in the bin.

Tell em to not be selfish cunts, and either move their shit or you'll move it for them. What pisses me off no end is I take my bike to Bath every day on the damn train, the capcity is for 6 bikes, so then when I finally get off in Bath why is it that I to play tetris with sometimes upto 11 fucking bikes. Not only does it hold me up it holds up the rest of the fucking train. I FUCKING HATE TRAVELLING BY TRAIN!!!!!!!!!!

But that's the thing, they go mental and have flashing lights and all sorts if you don't belt up at certain times when on a plane, but flying is according to statistics safer than travelling by train.

surely the seatbelts on planes are for prevention of minor injuries during periods of higher risk when the plane is accelerating or decelerating rapidly or experiencing buffetting around.  Trains tend to be smoother rides overall so no need for such periods - also they don't have stewards in every carriage to enforce any such rules.

Spot on! No turbulence on trains so no need for seat belts.

Ignorance.....

People texting whilst being served in a bank or shop - no, you're not that important.
People not making room in a shop aisle or on a pavement - move over you dick!
People who hold their index finger up to stop you from saying something - tools!
People who talk over you -  Smug Fuck Off
