Double edge safety razors are the way forward. Blades a 6p, they shave close as fuck, are super comfortable and your razor looks manly.

Derby Extra were the ones I settled on. These ones are 8p in fact. Although I think I got them for about £6 over a year ago. Not the best you can buy, Feather are apparently the best, but these suit me nice and last ages.

Have to admit I am a slave to gillett - I like a real close shave - I go both with and against the grain and have tried a lot of others but always think gillett are the best. And that annoys me
