Thunderstorms for the last 2 days and predicted for the remainder of our holiday in Florida, which means we're unlikely to get round all the parks we've got tickets for. Could have saved a small fortune and gone to Alton Towers for shit weather. Add to that a mother-in-law who doesn't think before she opens her mouth and keeps us waiting around constantly and I'm totally ped off with it all. Next year, it'll just be the 4 of us in Majorca!

I've always preferred abroad for the more or less guaranteed weather, but this is the second consecutive year we've had bad weather. Last year was Lanzarote in July and this year Florida. I just feel really aggreived, because it was supposed to be one of those holidays you only do once. It's cost us three times what we'd normally spend on a holiday and we'll probably still be paying off the credit card in 3 years time. |

I am torn between a break somewhere down south in a couple of weeks time or a cheapie all inclusive break somewhere.
The weather the last few days is tipping me toward the latter.

Yeah.
Just got back from Pattaya today as it happens, for visa reasons. After my Cambodia trip I should be able to get an extension in Bangkok, where I live. But oh no, that would be too logical and sensible and some jobsworth fuckwit decided I have to travel 100km to Pattaya and back instead.
I've become used to that though. What is really getting under my skin is that to open a business, in which I would be the only employee, I would have to hire 4 Thai staff. I don't need 4 Thai staff. I don't need 1 Thai staff.
I'll just have to remain illegal instead.
