I think it's entirely reasonable to know (as well as you can) who is in the country but, as with every process or system, there will always be loopholes or a way to game the system. It's about limiting the impact of those loopholes.
(Please do bare in mind that we were talking about asylum claimants and they are not the same as undocumented immigrants)
The majority that come via the boats are undocumented. By definition, Being undocumented there is no way of telling who they are. What is your opinion on what to do with them? I would imagine any European country which supports Israel in this conflict should be very careful who they take in from Palestine. Again, would you support undocumented Palestinian refugees?

I'd need to see some data on that to agree the "majority" point If the question is "What would i do with people with no legal means to claim asylum?"? I'd probably open a legal means of claiming asylum. And then process the claims (the majority of which are granted) so that people can live safely, earn money and contribute to the economy via taxes. https://www.refugeecouncil.org.uk/information/refugee-asylum-facts/top-10-facts-about-refugees-and-people-seeking-asylum/#:~:text=A%20total%20of%2020%2C888%20people,14%2C092%20people%20were%20granted%20protection. Can you define "supports israel" please

I'm not offering asylum, I don't even own a house.
Going back to the "i left my passport smuldering in the remains of my bombed house in donetsk" example - what do you think ought to happen there? I'm confident there's a process for that.
Do I think the UK should accept Gazan refugees? Yes Do I think the UK should accept refugees? Yes Do I think the UK should offer asylum? Yes Should we close all these options because there are some proper cunts about? No

As for the difficult concept of which countries support Israel
do you mean support financially? Or back morally? or they're whiter? I'm really confused...unless you've gone full peepshow

So, irrespective of circumstances, any old bod who wishes to enter the UK should automatically be given asylum - no questions asked. You’re fucking mad. That’s me finished on this subject. You’re unhinged.

Again, I have made no such claim. I said there'd be a process for the circumstance whereby they cannot prove who they are and gave you a scenario. For clarity - I'm saying that within the current "asylum process" there simply must be a process (a series of steps) to follow should someone not be able to prove who they are through documents. I am all for change, but I don't know what this process is...if you do I'd love to be educated

Went to Frome today - lovely place but . . .
The car park was via app only. Downloaded app, still unable to pay ‘oops, something has gone wrong. Try again.’.
So, instead of trying to pay as a guest registered on the app. Filled in all the details only to be told ‘some details don’t match’.
Don’t match what? Not the only place where you can no longer pay cash to park. Even when it works via an app how are older people expected to get to grips with it.
Fucking sucks.

Modern “chocolate”. Mondelez/Cadbury Boost have become sooooo shit. Just disgusting nowadays. A few years ago I could live on them, now they’re just plain shit. Dairy Milk is almost avoidable as well. And galaxy again has become a waste of money.
Perhaps it’ll help the waist shrink.

I never forgave Mondelez after they changed the recipe to Cherry Drops. They now taste like nail varnish. And they were my go-to STFC matchday sweet. Subhuman scum.
