Having watched it again I think that Deon Burton should have been sent off for getting his ribs in the way of our Gordon's foot.

Blatant cheating by the homer Ref Cheesy

I had a similar challenge in my last game of the season against Shortwood United. 50/50 challenge with the right back. Ball about 2-3 ft in the air, both went in and i got the ball (studs showing) and managed to catch the man around the groin area and got penalised for it! I thought this was a totally legitimate challenge.

Ref called me back i send i can't challenge like that etc. I posed the question of asking him of how i should challenge?!?! Because to me and as i've always been told. If you don't go in 100% you get hurt and plus if i dangled my foot, it would of got injured!

Whatever it hit, he should have got out of the way.

I don't like Burton, he was crap for us.   He made a meal of it, got Greer sent off.

Greer knew he was gone, why do you think he tried to run off?

Rediculous challenge, didn't even need to win the ball with his foot. People who think that's a yellow are saying that because they are biased.

But oh well it's done and he's missing out.

I can understand that DMR, but, for me i don't think he couldn't of stopped the momentum.

You need to watch it again. It was absolutely, irrefutably, 100% intentional. Momentum doesn't even come into it. If it was down to momentum his foot would have gone to the ground but he makes a special concerted effort to plant his studs into Burton's chest.

momentum.............jeez Roll Eyes

It actually looked to me like he didn't think he would get sent off and was quite surprised to get red carded.

I agree with arriba though. I'm quite happy with LJF. Amazing how a player can look like a nervous, mistake-prone, almost inept liability and yet you move him five yards nearer the middle and he turns into a rock solid centre back Huh?
