As you may know by my name i come from Newmarket Cambridgeshire which is about a three hour drive to Swindon for me .I sent An email to brian powel at swindon box office today explaining to him about getting tickets on friday and how it will concern me as im not on the new system and dont live local plus im not registered on the club ticket booking site as i only ever pay on the day when i can get down. I have only made 14 games this season because of the cost and things being tight for me and my daughter.Mr powel replied saying i wont be able to get one as the ticket master want except my post code as i live in suffolk and are only following restrictions put in by the police does anyone know if this is true or can anyone help me in finding another way of buying tickets.
how many tickets you after?

I wanted £52 tickets but now there will be 3 of us so it seems we might have to go for the £62 ones .

for those out of town and not registered i am registered on the data base so can buy tickets. Sorting out money first would need to be done so i'm not fronting the money and you then drop out. also i will send the tickets on to yourselves 1st class special delivery once i've received them. I get to choose who i help though. Forum regulars get priority of course

I do feel for genuine supporters who are not on the database or ST holders, we have a similar problem for a lot of my mates who want to go. A lot of them are casual goers who attend now and again but because Lambourn/Hungerford is a RG postcode they can not get any tickets, I really am struggling to see how people who are 12 miles from the ground are being overlooked for people in the southwest of Wiltshire who live 60 miles away just because of their postcode. I can really see us struggling to sell anywhere near our allocation as these people are not just not going to bother with the hassle of it especially at the prices

In that situation I'd be very tempted to ring up and argue, and if it got me nowhere then send Nick Watkins an email complaining that people who live so close are unable to buy tickets. He'd sort it out very quickly I'm sure.

This is madness for the out of Towners not on the database.
I guess the club may not have known, but it would have been nice to have some forewarning that this situation before hand. That way people could have got on the database before season end just in case.
One asumes Millwall are having similar issues?
Talking of Millwall, had to laugh they have supporters coaches going to Wembley from the Den at £15 a pop, 10:30 depart. I mean, who in their right mind would do that? Unless there is a load of parking space there or something.

yeah i saw that. and they reckon they've got an allocation of 38k.
but the way they are handling the tickets neither club will sell out

If its not a daft suggestion - couldn't the RG post coders who only live a few miles away actually go to the CG and get themselves put on the database?
For what its worth, I haven't used my season ticket, so PM me if you'd like to use it....

My mistake Arriba. It was 4 in 138, they told me they only had single seats in 139, which was where i wanted. They were the £52 ones though, yeah.
