It's a bit of a dive, though, to tell the truth.  If you're set on find a decent pub near Waterloo East (instead of London Bridge, where most are heading) you could try here:

Its alright, but mainly chose it because it should be easy for my non london based friends to find.  Come out of Waterloo, cross the road, you're there.
