I would just like to take this opportunity to state that, before now I have emailed Nick Watkins with various queries and suggestions and on every occasion I have received a response.

He is a good man, and thorough.

This is very true.

Ticket update: Play-offs
Posted on: Tue 11 May 2010

Ticket latest: Updated 8am, Tuesday 11th May 2010
Ticket Update: 2.55 pm today

Friday 14th May 2010 (Charlton Athletic, H, 7.45pm KO)

6,800 home tickets sold / Away allocation sold-out

Monday 17th May 2010 (Charlton Athletic, A, 7.45pm KO)

11,000 home tickets sold / 1,800 sold for away

I came past at 5.15pm and there was no queue at all.  Will be interesting to see how much the figures change after they go on general sale tomorrow?  At this rate, they'll end up being a load of Charlton fans mixed in with us.

I'm surprised more away tickets haven't been sold, but then it seems like everyone who wants them has had trouble getting through.

On the other hand, a lot of season ticket holders aren't going and up until now they're the only ones who could get them.  I sit within a group of 4, one of them can't finish work early enough, one of them 'can't be bothered with the travelling to London on a Monday night when it's on live!' and one of them can't afford it.  I'm therefore not going either because I don't want to travel and sit on my own like a billy no mates.  Even my brother who lives 25 mins away from the Valley has let me down as he thinks that he's a bad luck charm when they're away from home.  On the basis that Millwall was the 7th time he's seen them away this season and they've failed to win any of them, I tend to agree slightly!
Still pissed off I'm not going though!

Prob not so bad for a bloke to go away on his own, but a bit different for a female!

I'm sure you would, but I'd probably end up in a seat at the other end of the stand away from anyone decent to talk to!

Probably over 7000 by close of play, which means 2300+ sold per day.  We'd pretty much sell out by COP Thursday at that rate, especially given many would have missed the Sunday details and then the stories of queues will have put a few off rushing.  I went down at 6.30pm tonight to get 2 and walked straight up to the window.

I have a friend who doesn't have an ST who wants to get away tickets tomorrow. He's talking of going at 7am, should he just wait until later then, because him going at 7am is going to be absolute hell?
