Albert Jarrett was the worst.

Saw someone wearing a 'Jarrett 25' shirt today. Bizarre.

Saw a girl wearing the current home shirt today, with "Revell" & his number on the back. Surely somebody could've lent her a STFC polo-shirt or something just for today....

Shakes had THE worst end-product that I can ever remember in a Town shirt. Your archetypal "can run fast but cannot play the game" modern player.

I said "one of the worst..." - which is pretty fair isnt it? He was gash and has almost certainly found his level.

I'm with OneF - pace alone doesn't give someone the right to turn pro. Look at Austin? No real pace as such and he was at Thatcham when Shakes was in our first team.

Dave, I find that I often agree with your posts and opinions but have noticed recently people knocking you for stating what is blindingly obvious - our form has deserted us at the time of year (when with a relatively injury free squad) you most want a run of good form.

That defender we had in the Premiership called Kilcline was woeful, with equally woeful hair.

You have to separate out the ones who got more than 10 games, and the ones who were fucked off ASAP.

Shakes got plenty of games. And for that reason I think he probably was the worst footballer Ive ever seen at Swindon.

Spot on the man who pointed out that he was an athlete footballer with no talent whatsoever. Its an easy trap to fall into, but they all end up non league in the end. Sabin, Fola, Shakes. Shite.

David Peach was the worst buy I can remember - record signing, a fullback who couldn't tackle and could hardly kick a ball straight.
We lost 6-2 on his debut and he went for a free a year or so later.

We were ripped of with Peach and Tommy Jenkins didn't set the world alight.

I remember loads of donkeys we have signed, Shakes, Howe, Onibuje, Kilcline, Fenwick, Terry Gibson, Lawrie Sanchez, Frank McAvennie, Heiselberg, Cobian, Adam Willis, Mark Robertson, Thorpe, Drysdale.

Drysdale has to be near the top of the list purely because we paid around £500,000 for the useless piece of shit.
