Did anyone else get tickets?
I had some money taken with the following message on my statement
WWW.TICKETS.LONDON LONDON WC2H
I assume that means I'm going to watch some Olympic football in Newcastle then, the real hub of Olympic activity!

Leave yourself plenty of time unless they are going to sort out the trains in London. Shambles.

I've got 2 out of 5, which going by some of the stories in the press is pretty good, especially as they are both £20 tickets.

I'm surprised I got some as I went for the cheapest option for St. James Park. So I'll be in the heavens. I look forward to a double-header which will be something like New Zealand vs. Uruguay and Belgium vs. Japan.

Me and my brother got just over £600 worth of tickets in total. I suspect a good chunk of that will be football, but it can't all be which is a good thing. Plus I picked the football at the grounds I wanted to go to so it won't be too bad - St James, Old Trafford, Wembley and the Millennium and most were double headers. They were all cheap tickets so I might hit the jackpot and get an England game or two.

Great Britain don't put a football team in usually, do they?

Not usually, but there's a team going in for this one- England are the only board behind it, but I think individuals from other nations can put themselves forwards- Bale has certainly said he'd like to play.
Could actually be a fairly tasty team in the end.

Yes, under 23, plus 2 overage players. Of course, Wenger and co. will be complaining that these players will be called up.

Wikipedia says its 3 over 23. Wonder who the overage players will be, Beckham and Giggs if they're still playing?

I'm pretty sure I've got tickets for the Football and Basketball both gold medal matches, but I didn't get beach volleyball. They were crafty with that anyway. Putting mens and womens games in the same session to force us to watch both. I'm not too bothered about the basketball so does anyone know if you're stictly not allowed to sell on the tickets? I've heard you can resell them on the offical site but I assume for the same price I bought them?
I'd like to sell them to an American tourist for a high mark up if I can...all in line with the spirit of the games. They were £95 each anyway and they were the cheapest ones.

Impression I got is that if you sell them on to your mates at face value they won't ever catch you or care.
If you tout them and attempt to sell them on for a profit you're in big trouble if they catch you and they'll be doing their best to make sure they do. They've changed the law as well to make the penalties pretty steep.
