Great signing. I'd imagine DW didn't want to play 4-5-1 at home, so at least Charlie has a partner now!

Very good signing indeed.  If he did not have something about him then he wouldnt have played for West Ham or West Brom this season.

I saw him play up top on his own for West Ham at Aston Villa earlier this season on Sky and was pretty impressed with him, even though he did slip up every 5 minutes but he seemed full of energy and willing to run at defenders with a bit of pace.  Hopefully he can come to Town willing to make a name for himself.

For tomorrow I would go with...

Smith, Darby, Greer, God, Sheehan, McGovern, Douglas, Ward/Easton (depends if Ward is fit), Marshall, Austin & Noodles.

You Reds!

The one thing we have lacked this season is pace....with Marshall a 'new' player with pace this kiddy may give us another dimension.

Saw him a few times last season for West Ham reserves. A big lump of a striker with pace to burn.

One of those real 'athlete' players, ones who have clearly always been bigger and stronger than their age groups, ones who are often found out when it to comes to being a professional.

For what it's worth, i think it's a superb signing for this level though.

I like this.  It continues our season of having strikers with good old fashioned names that could have been in roy of the rovers.  Charlie, Billy, Frank, Danny even Vincent at a push (though he would have been the posh one).  We'll ignore Tempe or whatever obadeye was called.

By my reckoning we haven't had a striker called Frank, since Frank Large, who I recall starting well with a brace in a 2-1 home win v Argyle in 64.

Speaking of braces, Frank should probably have had one as a kid as he had notably protruding teeth.

Other than Frank Burrows and Frank Talia....can't think of any others in my time, but I'm sure there must be others.  Franco Sperti isn't quite the same.

Just read that he's childhood friends with Mark Marshall, that may have helped then.
