if i was to take both games i've seen this season in isolation (warsaw away being the other) i would think we're in the relegation zone.

Would I be correct in saying we haven't won all season when we've conceded first?

I don't know whether it's managerial naivety or player mentality, but we just don't seem to have a plan for turning a game around when we go one down.

Let's be honest, the thing that hurts the most is that it was f***ing Rovers (complete Scum).

They've done us twice now, Seven goals for and none against...

That's the bit that hurts....

But for them to only bring 1400-1500 to our place shows what a f***ing useless second rate club it is...

Now let's move on and get 3 points on Tuesday and we'll be back on our way...!!

U Reds......

I don't know whether it's managerial naivety or player mentality, but we just don't seem to have a plan for turning a game around when we go one down.

Something Wilson said post-match was that the players may have an expectation that they will always grab the first goal, so tried to force it and hence left themselves open at the back.

We have not won once conceding the first goal, although this has only happened 8 times. Those 8 games resulted in 4 draws and 4 losses, so a total of 20 points dropped from maximum. But we've dropped another 19 from maximum when we've scored the first goal/not scored at all.

So I don't think it's much to do with the not being able to come back from conceding first at all. It's worth noting that most of the time (6 out of 8 games) it's been away from home too.

Late goals seems to be the problem, which we all know. These odd freak results are just that.

This is my input for what its worth.
With attacking fullbacks you are going to get exposed to pace...Cuthbert and Greer were left on there own against Kuffour....thats the gamble you take when Amankwah and Sheehan are bombing forward.
We didnt play too bad but there defence blocked everything.
A draw on tuesday will suffice as MK and Rovers are running out of games...you always get blips,Saints played Norwich off the park two weeks ago then stuffed Hudders...they got beat at Tranmere yesterday.
This result is History though fair due to Trollope as he must love it when he turns us over after we bombed him out as a youngster.
We are in a great position for a playoff place and even in defeat yesterday we played some cracking football..i am happy with that.

Over at half time, of course not. It looked bleak but its been done in the past.

I'm glad Andy King didn't have that defeatist view away at Port Vale in our last play off season.

In was that 3-3 draw that kept us above Port Vale come the end of the season.

We should have gone for it yesterday.

There are 2 issues here. First of all its our allocation of tickets. Secondly its probably got something to do with the fact you are shirt battering scum who indiscriminately attack anything that isn't Rovers. Your fans do not abide by the code of conduct of most nutters who have rules about beating up families. Your Bebo warriors will always ensure you are classed as scum, not hard, not nasty, just short battering scum.

Any adult wearing a replica playing shirt does deserve a good kicking to be fair. Especially those with a players name on. Even more so one with their own name on.

I have only walked out of one Swindon Town match early and that was when we got dicked 7-1 at Nottingham Forest a few seasons ago.

That was until yesterday, after the 4th goal went in I said fuck it and headed back to the County Ground Hotel.

Having all those 14-15 year old kiddies chanting "loyal supporters" got on my tits a bit, where the fuck where they when we got relegated a few seasons ago?  Any way I left for 2 reasons, a) we were shit and weren't up for it in a local derby, b) I had seen enough and hope its just a "blip" on the radar, the gutless performance up until that 4th goal pissed me off enough to say, see you later I'm off.

Let's hope normal service resumes at the Franchise!

Gutless? We had more shots than them Gaz. I really don't get this whole "we weren't up for it" bollocks. Sorry but if that free-kick from Sheehan or that Austin chance goes in we go on to win the game. We were well up for it before the scored and it knocked the stuffing out of us. We never gave up either. We still went at them but it just didn't happen for us. I stayed till the end just in the hope that we may see a consolation goal or 2 but sadly it wasn't the case.

Somebody already mentioned that it was an odd game and it was. Thought we were excellent for the first 20 minutes or so and had we been 1 goal up the game would have been different. Then Rovers scored with their first proper touch of the ball and the game changed. I actually think that we could have been accused of being 'over confident' as we kept playing the ball around, even deep inside our own box. (which led to the second goal eventually). 3-0 its game over really and was goal of the game.

Second half we huffed and puffed and how many times did the ball hit a Rovers player throwing themselves at the ball. Unfortunately I think Rovers players wanted it more, what summed it up for me was when their keeper tipped a JPM shot round the post and his defence were congratulating him as if he had won them the League.

Player wise, Sheehan was woeful, Ferry was busy, JPM probably deserved his man of the match and I liked the look of Ritchie when he came on.

Lets hope that this is merely a blip and we can bounce back against Franchise.
