Only funny part of the day (when it shouldn't have been) was when the fan who chanted RED ARMY (Twat) during the minutes silence for Keith Alexander and everyone telling the twat to shut up and for the Town End all in unison keeping quiet for the remainder of the minutes silence giving the wanker sign to the Rovers fans!

Actually I thought we were far from Gutless, and that one of the few positives from the game was that the players didn't give up, unlike me as I left with 5 mins to go.
The problem was that we simply didn't play very well, too many players just had an off day, not really shite or anything, just a bit off form.
The passing just wasn't as good as it has been, and that was all over the team from the defence through midfield up to the front two.

Our defensive game was extremely gutless. Clearly hadn't done their homework or didn't listen, Luckily though as I said, I left before I got pissed off OTT about it and look to Tuesday night!!!

If Sheehan's free kick is an inch the other way it goes in and we win easy. Did fear the worst when they got a breakaway goal, because Rovers always have a determined defence in the last few years.
Swindon fans are getting used to being a bit more philosophical about it. Its not all just about players slogging their guts out anymore. We try and play football and sometimes things just dont run your way. Losing one game 4-0 wont send you crashing down the league, losing 3 games 1-0 will.
Having said that, I have heard Wilson went completely apeshit in the dressing room after, which is what was needed in my view. There were too many passes behind the man, too many loose balls. Too many fans devastated.
It was an action replay of the first game. Were the better team, but the game just ran away from us after the first goal. By the way, I was in the home end for that game, and I know a few others who were, and there wasnt that many Rovers there either. Certainly not 5 figures anyway.
We'll bounce back. Weve got the class. They havnt.

I don't think we were gutless in the traditional sense. We tried and didn't going hiding. But it needed someone to nail Kufour early on, even at the expense of a yellow, and we didn't really mix it up that way. Still as said, one game isn't a concern even though its gutting it was Rovers. Tough month still to come, we will now more thereafter.

Nail him or not it seemed to me that Greer was generally against Kuffour (in the first half at least) and I would have been happier to have had Cuthbert's pace up against him...
On another line, did anyone see the exchange that seemed to take place between Sheehan and one or two "supporters" in the DR second half?

There are 2 issues here. First of all its our allocation of tickets. the allocation at ours is 1700 odd . . . . we didnt take as many as we hadnt scored for 7 away games and also the police make our visit to you horrendous 1 hour wait at station escort to pub with to many people in it and then escort to ground then another escort back to statrion that takes an hour for a five min walk. . and as fothe idiots every team has a minority ive seen some of yours before behaving like idiots on the trains as i worked as a train guard in the past! every club has them !

To be fair, it's probably not him personally.
The policing did seem a bit extreme mind, got to the train station and there were a good 40 officers, 6 dogs and 2 horses. I've never got what use Horses are in policing- all that's going to happen is that they panic and kill someone- anyone know if they're for anything other than intimidation and giving the Pony Club something to do?

It is true that by using animals the police are able to excuse injuries to the public that they wouldnt be able to excuse if they used a machine or a taser instead of a dog.
Seemed to be more younguns than usual in the Rovers end. In the past their support has been proper old boys. Its always a more volatile fixture because the Brizzle fans seem to have more knowledge of Swindon. Just knowing the names of parts of Swindon, or a backstreet pub can make them a lot more slippery. Most fans dont have a clue. They come here and think all the rest of Swindon looks like Manny road. Even a team like Reading, you would be suprised about how little they know about the Town.
