Kuffour is the type of striker we don't have. Pace and will run at defenders. A bit like Simeon Jackson actually in that respect. The type that we miss at times.

I thought we played pretty good today, were the better side over the 90 minutes and on another day would have won comfortably. Rovers were good at taking the chances they had but in general they weren't that good.

Not sure anyone played badly and the only obvious faults were team wide. The crossing was abysmal, especially in the 2nd half, and plenty of good opportunities were wasted as a result. We can't handle it when we go behind, the team just seem to lose belief and practically give up. There is just a total lack of fight, we see it when we throw games away at the end but its there as well when we go behind.

My biggest criticism is of Wilson. At 3-0 down at half time it was time for a bold change yet he did nothing. We actually had options on the bench so why not use them? Why take Austin off for Pericard? Austin didn't have a bad game and is far more creative than Paynter, though why not leave both on and play 3 up front? Why not switch to a 3 man defence to add more width and players in attack? Its not like it could have got much worse.

This was just a bad day when things went against us, if Sheehan's freekick had gone in (or someone got the rebound) it would have ended differently. Someone said Rovers dicked us today and they didn't, what happened was we got arse raped by a donkey.

I blame Lecs - 4 goals conceded and he was nowhere to be seen on any of them.

a guy around me (hopefully for his sake, sarcastically/ironically) blamed Phil Smith for the defeat, why? because he was on the front of the program!

That was me!

I think Wilson is a bit more dispassionate and probably felt the game was dead 10/15 mins into the 2nd half when we hadn't pulled one back so move on and let it go, whereas we see if from the emotive side and want to go gungho for a miracle comeback. Once the 4th went in he had half an eye on Tuesday and getting players off and rested. He has admitted after both Rovers games that he told the players to only worry about trying to get 3 goals back, get one back and see what happens from there.

kuffour's goal was a pretty good finish. you could see that greer had no chance of keeping up with him for pace.

after that goal - which came slightly against the run of play - the momentum shifted to rovers and it fell apart after that. we weren't great but i've seen plenty of performances far worse than that.

on a positive note, only the second game i've seen this season and was really impressed with JP. he looks like a new player, totally reinvented. ward looks like a very promising player but kept running into a wall today. sheehan looked worse than i've ever seen lecs play.

greer tried to cath him with the offside trap, trouble was he was the one playing him on.if he hadn't tried that then he would have been nearer him.

I reckon Rovers only touched the ball 3 times in the first half.

Awful game from him today. That is far far below his normal standard.
