Quality documentary.
Does anyone remember one they did on Leyton Orient a few years back? The manager sacked 2 players at half time i think

Watched it this morning and My favourite scene is Chalky and Kevin Morris in the First aid room.
They're both being brutally honest and seeing that and the scene where Morris is emotional on the bench it really brought back how sad it was for him to take his own life.
Trollope was also excellent

You got a few glimpses of the sadness Morris was carrying around in that scene. Pretty heartbreaking stuff really.
Also, a complete legend for sitting on the bench smoking a pipe. Last of the old school.

I thought he didn't lose his wife though, please correct me if i'm wrong. She had some "terminal" disease which turned out not to be terminal, that's what my memory says. And i thought he took his life cause he was concerned about job security, thinking the club were going to replace him. I could be wrong on all this, only going from what i heard all those years ago. So please correct me if i am. |

Watching this makes you realise how good those times were and the characters around the club.
Chalkie and Kevin Morris talking about players feigning injury when they aren't in the team. It just summed up Chalkie's whole mindset and you can see the hurt in Kevin Morris when he talked about his sick wife and that he wouldn't be doing the job.
You could also see the tension in Kevin and Eddie Buckley in the Tranmere game and the interview with John Trollope who had been around the club for years and had it's blood in their veins, only for McMahon and Hunt to rip the soul and history away from our club.
There's a couple of great examples of Shaun Taylor's attitude, he took an elbow straight in the face at a corner at Tranmere and just picked himself up to carry on defending. Also I had forgotten in the move for his goal at Wembley in went in for a header with 2 Leicester players and took them both out.
Glenn Hoddle's choice of knitwear and the sports casual look is 'triffic' as he would say and Alan Partridge like. You also see the bit where Glenn and John Gorman are mulling around before handing in their resignations and Ray Hardman asks 'John do you have time for a quick word'. Would our Premier League experience have been different if that didn't take place.
Overall a grea documentary and you realise truley special times
