It's a testament to human nature that it's a whole lot harder to compile this list that it is to compile the Punch list, but the premise is the same: 5 people you'd like to praise, shake the hands of, whatever. 5 people who you'd offer the opportunity to punch the people off the other list in your stead (not just because they can punch harder mind)
I'm fully expecting people off one person's Praise list to be on another's Punch list, so lets watch this dissolve into an argument when Alan puts Nigel Farage or someone on his. Keep it to people who are alive and reasonably famous please.
1. Terry Pratchett
2. Dr Ben Goldacre
3. Dennis Skinner MP
4. Andrew Fitton and Nick Watkins (I know, merging people again)
5. David Mitchell

Farage was an example anyway. I suspect Alan is more likely to choose Daniel Hannan, who is a massive twat anyway. But that isn't really the point of the thread
