I recently chanced upon a Swedish band called Yamon Yamon. Their first album is pretty ace. http://www.myspace.com/yamonyamonThe new Eels album is pretty good too, gk_nash. Just about to give the new OCS album a listen.

I discovered this tune yesterday. It has been stuck in my head. I think it's beautiful.
Sounds ace until the vocals which seem completely at odds with the track and ruin it in my opinion. Would love to hear that tune remixed by someone like Tom Middleton and taken down to about 110bpm and deepened up and electro-fied some.

I know its from last year but bought The Pains of Being Pure at Heart album, shoegazing indie tastic.
Mr. Nash I might pop down and see sunshine underground next week at digital, you working it?
no its different promoters, probably your mate Lisa or Anna at melting vinyl. We dont do many dates south with them as they're a bit hard to sell. Sure you dont git list but if you do let me know and ill get you on the bands list

thanks for recommendation chaps, just enjoying Broken Bells, Local natives and "The pains of ...",
sorry spy but the dnb is a little to in yer face for me...
If you want a decent trance euphoric feelgood dance album, you could do a lot worse than 'Above and Beyond Anjunabeats 100' compilation. Not exactly new but a good album nonetheless.
Also, GK_nash, why are you wating for money to come in ;-)
Im old fashioned (and old) and buy stuff rather than nick it from pirate bay or whatever it is. Just not the same listening to it on spotify as the adverts make me want to kill!!!

Recently downloaded all of Blue Octobers albums. Not many people like them obviously but i am a cunt and like things other people don't. 'Hate Me' is still as good a song today as the first time i heard it.

I like the album with 'Hate Me' on. The lead singer has a great rock voice. They are playing in Lux next month, I might go along to check em out.

Mumford & Sons is brilliant.
Yep best album i've heard for a while, not a duff track on it.
