Mens football is clearly better. That's not a dig at women, it's just simple fact. If some things are to believed women are better drivers and cooks p.s. The second part is a joke before Yeovil gets all wound up about it

Not my thing this womens football, though the last goal was good. Will probably watch the odd 10 minutes here and there. Hell, I was so desparate for a footy fix that I watch the second half of the Scotland game on Saturday!
Does remind me of a quote from the Aussie sports minister a few years ago. Speaking about the Matildas team it went something like "As a sport I rate womens soccer just above going to the zoo and poking the animals with a stick".

Womens football is quite shocking to be fair. They try though bless them. And you do get the ocassional one that is pleasing on the eye.

LGC, that American commentary had me in stitches. Wasn't sure if it was the beer having that effect at the time though

I think that womens football is more entertaining to watch than the men. There is more skill involved because there is no testosterone or aggression. Womens football is the worlds fastest growing sport It may be fast growing, but it's certainly not fast playing. To main problems, football these days relies on athleticism so the womens game has one problem there. Also, goalkeeping standards in womens football are at best woefull. Apart from that, it's not that bad, it's just a bit like watching conference football without the constant long ball.

I enjoy watching women's football.....its the beautiful game after all.
It needs to be remembered that these players are not full time.....it has some different qualities to men's football but its essential simplicity is well suited to being played by young women....

Some of the other Nations are and we have a few in this country now, I may be wrong, but aren't some of the top players now full time?

Fulham were full time for a season or so but abandoned it.....there is some money in the States.....where Kelly Smith plays and it shows she's impressive. The likes of Eniola Aluko and Karen Carney are kids who are doing their A levels at the same time as representing their country.
