A few years back I used to spend my money on beer, fags and miscellaneous activities that would be categorised under the banner of "shenanigans".
This weekend I bought a sofa, a washing machine and a fridge freezer. At one point I engaged in a lively and spirited debate about the relative merits of the single or double vegetable drawer. We went with the double.
Getting old is a sad process.

I'm only in my mid-twenties to be fair, but weekends of idling away the hours in the pub seem to have disappeared. Tis a sad loss.

I am beginning to consider not going out on Friday nights. It hasn't happened yet but even thinking about it is a tad disturbing.

Garden furniture is just wrong unless you include a BBQ in that category then in which case it’s every man’s god given right to procure the biggest badest unsuitable burger charrer this side of B&Q.
I must admit I have cut back from being out every weekend 8pm - 6am to just having a few beverages after work most Fridays and then having a real blow-out just once or twice a month. I enjoy it that bit more when I do go out, feel better on Sundays and feel like I’ve actually had a couple of days off rather than sleeping away most of the weekend.
Plus it helps financially.
It appears to be a trend though that fewer people go out as much as they used to but then the cost of DRENK is so much cheaper from supermarkets than pubs.

I still wear Dangermouse socks (when I can find them), so I think it's safe to say I'm not yet at the 'growing old' stage.

Surely dating an older man would make you look younger, whereas dating an 18 year old would make you look like a women-paedo.
