that a ref from Luxembourg should not be refereeing a game of this standard
This new argument annoys the hell out of me. It's football, football is the same anywhere in the world. An Englisman dished out 3 yellow cards in to one player in the World Cup Finals! A Spanish referee sent-off Darren Fletcher in the Champions League Semi-Final for nothing. A Soviet linesman said it was over the line when it clearly was not. It doesn't matter what domestic league a referee is based within, they're still prone to mistakes. |
