Haven't got a clue who he is, but we're supposedly bringing him in on trial.

Quote
Paul Hart has denied Peter Crouch's uncertain future is proving a distraction.
The England man is leaving Fratton Park – but has yet to finalise a move elsewhere.

...[blah blah blah - load of uninteresting bollocks about Pompey]...

Finally, one-time reserve striker Berlin Ndebe-Nlome is reportedly linking up with Swindon for a trial.

Nobody knows what he has been doing for the last year since leaving Crawley.

I'd warrant that this one is a 'no'.

Incidentally all the scouts are at the club for the next couple of days for a conference.

His had a stinker for Crawley a couple of years ago and was taken off at H-T. I believe he's been on trial at Brighton this summer too.

We seem to be trawling the depths at the moment for potential.

Nowt wrong with having a look but surely there are a few better calibre Premiership youngsters filtering down we could look at along side some of these fellas.  It’s like footballers that time forgot.

Any day now I expect Chris Wreh to pop up.

It's rare that professional clubs allow you to take contracted players on trial before signing... Especially the sort that we need to replace Cox with.

I think we need to sign a relatively known striker quickly before half of our fanbase suffer from spontaneous combustion.

It's a good 7-10 days before I'll start questioning why nobody has arrived/or we've signed a random free agent to replace Cox/Corr/Sturrock/Joyce.

I think we should invite 22 free agents and do the crossbar challenge, whoever hits it gets a trial pre-season.

Michael Bridges and Pericard are still up on free transfers and doing the rounds on trial surely worth a look if we're bottom of the barrel sniffing.

Unsure as to whether this has been mentioned or not but some of the squad did a cross-bar-challenge vs England Ladies on Monday.

Don't know if anyone managed it, but I am told that Bill Paynter was running around in his undies.

Oh, and David Lucas was in attendance whilst Phil Smith wasn't, so I'd warrant that the Preston-born netminder will be first choice goalkeeper in 09/10.
