Also, I need to find people who might know a lot about the Gillingham rivalry...
There is no rivalry with Gillingham....as was shown by the 250-300 they brought to the CG the last twice we've played them. For me if there was a rivalry, you'd turn out at least a 1000. |

Its all one sided. I was at the home game in 80 when it kicked off afterwards. Saw thier coaches get bricked and the scrapping all along Queens Drive. Went to the away game a year later - great fun. Went to the 3 play off games. Apart from in the ground I saw bugger all Gills at the game at Palace. As Reg says they can't muster up much of a following to us. |

Maybe not to Gills Reg...but for Swindon there is.......i remember watching Fjortoft at Wembley v England(finished 0-0)..Swindon took two coachloads of fans....we happened to be sitting in front of about 20 Gillingham fans and it turned very nasty.. two Oxford fans couldnt believe the rivalry and madea swift exit.......there is a rivalry in my view. |
