Not all of us were around then reg A golden age of English cricket...before the flower of the British Empire had to go off and defend pitch, pavilion, luncheon and tea against the loathsome Hun, Nip and Eytie.

Good start. Two overs played, Strauss and Swann gone.
Time for Jimmy A to show them how it's done.

12-3... is there something in this wicket/the air we can take advantage of? Or will our bowlers be shit again?

Hilfenhaus seems to be getting plenty of swing, hopefully it'll be the same for Jimmy A and Onions.

Is Jimmy Anderson the best number 10 in world cricket?
He's definately my favourite, 51 innings without a duck now and his average more recently must be fairly handy, although his career is still pretty low. Some of the shots he played wouldn't have looked out of place in the middle order (well, it would in England's middle order, as they all got out)

My opinion on that decision is that he was definately out, but probably not in the way it was given- given caught, I don't think he touched it but if he didn't he was probably leg before. Such a nice man for it to happen to as well
