I have seen other leeds fans posting on forums that he was on nowhere near that more like £5k a week. He has prem experience with Blackburn and is free so surely worth a punt on big wages

I don't think he was on that sort of wage as it was rumoured. I think some Leeds fans were told a fib on that one. He was certainly on a decent enough packet though i'd imagine. After all their budget was something stupid like over 10 million last season.

If we were hoping to sign Tudor Jones for £250k, then surely we can afford to splash out on wages a bit for Douglas given that there'd be no transfer fee

It wouldn't surprise me that he was on £10k+ a week at Leeds as when he signed for them they were freshly relegated from the Premiership and still paying out stupid wages, and since their demise they are weedling out all the high earners from the hangover of that period.
Now though he would be lucky to get a 5th of that with us.
Be good if we could sign him though just what we need in midfield, very hard working and high work rate box to box player.

DRS, this is not a loaded question, and also not just targeted at you but anyone who spots people walking through the CG car park - what do you do that requires you to be in/by the CG car park during the day? This has always puzzled me.
