If you read the Hibs forum they are ecstatic he is leaving - don't get too excited - just yet  Sad

I am surprised those peg sellers can actually type/use a computer.

BBC have actually amended their story, it did say had signed and they have put it in the completed transfer section, but they have now changed the story.

I think he could be a good signing, very fast and not bad delivery, been playing at a higher level so its not fair to judge him on perfomances against the likes of Rangers and Celtic compaired to how he may be against Wycombe, Orient, Exeter and Gillingham etc.

Surely he has promise if he has 5 international caps for Eire, its not like being capped by Outer Mongolia or Angorra.

The official site says he's talking to Wilson on Sunday - so the earliest we'll hear anything will be Monday. Looks like the BBC massively jumped the gun on this one!

why oh why do we keep revealing our targets........ other clubs come in and nick them, like Tudor Jones, Orr etc... under Andy King... admittedly wages probably played a bit but still.... I understand about being oopen by the way but plead ignorance to rumours until the deal is done!

Perhaps but we should plead ignorance or not comment on them...... conclude the deal first!

What is the point if it is out in the public domain then there is no harm in admitting to holding talks, it is down to Wilson & Fitton's powers of persuation

True however if say we are talking to a player and another club were interested but were still umm'ing and ahhh'ing over making an approach, by us confirming our interest, it may alert that team to make their move and hijack the deal. Could be complete bollocks and all but... happened with Tudor Jones before although there is an arguement he is welsh and swansea being in wales is closer to home but Bradly Orr was at Newcastle and came down this way and we had only just made the L1 playoffs... and joined City shorly after we made our interest known!

Apparently DW has said -

Wilson told BBC Wiltshire: "He's desperate to come. He's exciting and the fans will love him."

O'Brien will follow David Lucas and Gordon Greer in moving to the County Ground as Wilson builds a squad for the 2009-10 League One season.

"What he will bring to us is that pace that every team needs and he'll cause problems in this division.

"He's still a young boy, not as many games under his belt as he should have at his age. We can give him an opportunity.

"He's got a great attitude, for a winger his defensive work is tremendous as well so he's got a lot attributes."

Sounds good to me!
