I don't think that's a new thing. Fryers miskick was the icing on the cake, but bloody hell the play that led to that was equally grim watching.
An admittedly rudimentary google suggests that he hasn't played a game since that game and is now an Academy Coach at Boro?

Or even the Muff possibly. Obviously don't know he looks in training and all that, but his (and all the others) departures from Newcastle have little to do with the players and more to do with a) needing to get some cash in sharpish to buy Maddison under FFP terms and b) the fact that the Newcastle of January 2023 is at a totally different level to that of January 2022. I see another on the list to flog is Chris Wood who they paid £25m for less than 12 months ago, can't see them getting more than 50% of that back, if that! |
