4 goals 2 assists in 11 games for the awful Josh Davison.

Maybe, just maybe some Swindon fans aren’t a very good judge of a footballer.

Wakeling has the exact same bare facts - 4 goals, 2 assists (probably 3 after yesterday). He was free. Davison cost Wimbledon £160,000.

Know which one I prefer.

That's a 16 goal season for a striker at L2 level, which is about his level (Davison).  Not what you'd want if you were aiming higher though, which is the point about him - not someone to invest in if you were looking for promotion.

Wakeling offers more outside just the goals and looks like he can be developed into a better player.  Based on limited viewing of both players I'd prefer Wakeling.

The talk of Payne going to Hibs on the other thread made me think of McKirdy, looking at it he seems to have barely figured for them, is he not fit or just not getting in the team.

Back to Davison, he's so far had the same MO as here. Scores goals buy they are a bit 'lumpy'.

Scoring 4 in 11 games is OK. But they've come from 2 games. Which is fine unless nobody else is scoring or if its a tight 2 legged playoff final.

He's 23, so its not like he doesn't have time on his side.

Same amount of goals that the 2 years younger and £160,000 cheaper Jacob Wakeling has got for us Wink

Adebeyo and Danny Ward on the scoresheet in early games. McKirdy gets a first start for Hibs
