Was also on the Gas forum that they were taking a look at Ranger.

Ched Evans and Nile Ranger both heavily linked to the Pox, they just need Adam Johnson for the unholy trinity!

We had a 20% sell on clause with Flint - that’s 20% on the profit City made. They’ve just made £1.2m profit on selling Flint to Cardiff.
Therefore we get an additional £240,000 from City. Should pay for Hylton!

You've missed one. City sold him to Middlesborough and we've already made money from that. This is now Middlesborough selling him to Cardiff.

As I understand it, selling clubs with a sell on clause continue to get their % for as long as the player is making a profit on his transfers. We got 20% on his sale to Borough, City have made £1.2m from his sale to Cardiff. If Alfreton sold him to us with a sell on clause we will have to pay them their share. It ends when a player moves at a loss.

How much has he gone for? As the last I read City weren’t expecting to get anything from the Flint to Cardiff deal.

Ah. In which case, I stand corrected.

There’s no regulation on it. It depends entirely on what was agreed. It could be a % of the first sale, or all future sales that the buying club make a profit on.

I wonder if we had a 2nd sell on clause for Flint like we did for Charlie Austin, where we had a 20% 1st sell on and a 10% of the profit 2nd sell on.
He was sold from Boro to Cardiff for £2m more than Shitty got for him.
I wouldn't put it past Power to have structured sell on percentages, he is very shrewd like that.
