It’s not your first XI that gets you promoted - it’s the back ups in the squad.
You may be right but my first thought when I read this was 'bollocks' and 'Shaun Close'.

Coventry City have signed right-back Fankaty Dabo from Chelsea on a three-year deal.

I quite liked Dabo.
Now they need to sign themselves a stadium.

Dabo was more athlete than footballer, great physical power and pace but actually defending and crossing was not any better than say Knoyle.
He is a solid L1/L2 fullback relying on pace and fitness more than footballing ability and he may imrove as he gets more experience, I wouldn't have minded him back here TBH.

As transfers seem to be moving forward quite rapidly now, should we not hear shortly where Vigarous is going if it was a done deal?

Apparently it wasn't as "done a deal" as Vigs thought and will probably sign for another team now. I would be surprised if its higher than L1, wouldn't be shocked if it was abroad.

Could see Vigs signing for a Turkish or Cypriot side. Someone like Genclerbirligi or Apoel. The weather's warm, the money is decent and there is an easy route into Europe. I'm sure he'd be happy to bench warm for one of those clubs.

Alan McCormack to Northampton.
I was hoping we’d be in for him as a centre back. Had his best spell there for us, alongside Flint, rather than as a centre mid, but after he left us went back to being a midfield, turning from a ball playing centre back to a midfield basher. He could have done wonders for Broadbent and Conroy. Ah well.

Nathan Thompson turns down contract with Pompey and is keen to test himself in the Championship.
Good luck with that one, he’s nowhere near good enough!

Brighton have denied entering into any talks with Derby over the transfer of Bogle and have denied any interest but have stated they are looking for an experienced right back.

If only Knoyle had held on to his nerve a little longer.
