Storey as absolutely class against Villa when he came on, but you can't base things on that. King signed Sabin on a 45 minute appearance. It just isn't enough.

Was a nice neat back heel though.

Wakeling was a lot better than Storey ever was.

He was decent for us. Scored a few goals (a couple of crackers too) however he was at that age where he needed to be playing regular first team football for his development.

Going to Peterborough to sit on the bench has basically stalled his career by 2 years.

I’m sure he wasn’t his choice but he’d have been better of staying here.

I think you've been kind to him there. I think he's hardly seen the bench since being with Posh!

I liked Wakeling, but only when played up top. Him and Jephcott were promising for a few weeks, then the system got lobbed in the bin and we never saw it again.

On that matter, I don’t think Jephcott was that good either and his career has been in the decline, don’t think he scored a league goal for two years after his loan spell with us, ended up at Truro in the NLS and now sits on their bench in their most likely relegation battle in the conference

Jephcott was way worse for us than Wakeling.

At least Wakeling showed good early promise even if it faded a bit towards the end.

Shame he didn't kick on, still time I suppose

We will always have Mansfield away where Wakeling and Jephcott ran riot.

I always thought he would do well as a manager, and he really hasn’t.

He went straight from managing Spurs u18s to the EFL, it was bound to be somewhat erratic. Every club he has been to, it hasn’t worked, maybe management just isn’t his forte

Losing at home to Yeovil Town might have has something to do with it.

Williams Kokolo joins Hannover 96 (Bundesliga 2) for reportedly €500,000 after a successful season at Laval (French 2nd Tier).

Maybe we had a sell on clause in his release fee if he was released to join a new club (fairly normal in contracts in football) which could explain a budget windfall recently.
