Not an ex-player but Sandro di Michele is now director of horse racing at William Hill.

A natural progression after being a director of football, of course.

There's a few successful football ownerships with a big betting background - Brentford being the model - but as usual Swindon tried a 'model' half arsedly for six months and declared it didn't work.

I don’t think the players we signed under Sandro’s spell were any better or any worse that most of our transfers over the last 20 years…

Sandro got awful stick from the fans and was wholly unpopular. I'll always remember Rob Angus' reaction at Orient when fans were singing about wanting Sandro out.

I wonder if Rob Angus actually has any say in the hiring of Sandro and what he thought about that path of the football club at that time.

A no holds barred interview with Rob Angus would be about the most interesting thing possible right now, sadly for legal, personal or professionalism reasons it doesn't seem like we're going to hear from him about his time as CEO.

Probably proof of why he wasn't really the right person for the job- he has principles.

His biggest problem was he signed only young players with potential.
Ironically if we'd have had a Will Wright, Ollie Clarke & Harry Smith to go along with them it would probably have been much better

Absolutely; as I said I thought his signings were ok players. As you said the problem was they all fit the same criteria & we needed a better mix.

The fact that as a CEO he didn't know that the owner had sold 20% of the club just shows how much he had been kept in the dark.

I'm assuming the same is true for Hall, the difference being Rob Angus had a lot of goodwill as a Town fan, whereas Hall comes across as a thoroughly unpleasant twat, who is just a Clem yes man.

Maybe if and when Clem fucks off. Are NDAs indefinite?
