Saw Kayden Jackson for Ipswich at the weekend... He looks so out of place I almost felt sorry for the guy. Ipswich paid a big fee for him too

I stood with Simon Hooper (the ref) at the Swindon-Milwall play off final.  I think he is still pissed off that Charlie missed the 1 on 1 at the end, that is why he disallowed it..

Ben Purkiss making the football headlines for slightly different reasons, but potentially far longer lasting impact on the game and those who play it:

he's certainly more effective in this role. can't believe he made over 40 appearances for us last season.

I'm surprised the PFA aren't kicking off about the PL/FA's attempts to shoehorn B teams into the lower leagues. What would that do for jobs if clubs find it even harder to survive/go bust. (Or maybe they have kicked off and I've missed it?)

Is it not a case that the clubs are being paid more to have these B teams participate in the paint pot? It would be interesting to see if the record low attendances against these teams outweighs the additional funds though.

I would really hope that fans of football up and down this country would never ever let this happen. Hypothetically, if they put man utd reserves into the league where would their natural position be. They may not even stay in the league. No idea and hopefully one we will never find out

I mean the actual leagues. It's quite clear that including them in the boycott trophy is the thin end of the wedge that gets them into the leagues as well. That would displace clubs from the leagues.

Ive read several books by written by ex-pros and a couple of them have said that the PFA is a spineless organistion that would get spooked at a big case etc. Gordon Taylor earning nearly £3m a year for doing fuck all is a travesty.

The moment any B team is allowed into the FL pyramid that's me done.

Yeah and now the PFA are turning the screw and trying to oust him, claiming he isn't a member of the PFA as he isn't a contracted pro. What a bunch of cunts!
