Great musician (although I can take it or leave it myself), bit of a weirdo, obviously personally fucked up, his death is quite sad but not a massive tragedy on the scale of, oooh, anything much really. Can we move on now?

Someone on facebook has put up a note that MJ was the only music artist/legend that tried to make the world a better place.
False idolisation really winds me up.

Hmm is it genuine, quoting lyrics though?

Not really getting this over hype about wacko jacko to be honest...
Bloke was a pure fruitcake who fiddled with kids.....
OK he made some great music (once apon a time) but he was hardly up there with the very best like Elvis or The Beatles - yet everyone on the telly and radio are going completely bonkers !
He was up there with them IMO..he outlasted the Beatles by Decades.........Earth Song was a great record and for me Billy Jean was one of the best records of all time......as for the child abuse he admitted sleeping in the same bed as Jordi Chandler so whether he did or didnt abuse dosnt matter, you dont sleep with kids as an adult!!!!!!!!!!....though i will say if i had found out my kids had been abused i would of wanted the courts to deal with it........not my bank.

Why is it that when a pop start dies, everyone starts buying their music?
Jackson currently occupies the top 7 best selling albums on iTunes. I'm guessing he'll likely set a bunch of sales records over the coming weeks, kind of bizarre that he's going to generate so much money when he's died.
Just had a quick look, he has 29 songs in the top 100 at present on i-tunes, both him and the Jackson 5, that is bound to increase over the weekend. And the same sort of thing on Amazon, he has the top 14 selling albums on there at the moment.

This was not a shock to me, perhaps a mild surprise... IMO the "legendary" stuff was done and dusted by the early '90s, everything since then has been a bit cack, perhaps coinciding with the extreme weirdness. A few amazing albums before then though.

I don't get this. If you didn't want the album yesterday, why would you want it today?! Very strange.

as a tribute to Michael Jackson, his family are going to melt him and turn him into a few toys, so kids can touch him for a change!
