I still wish I'd dared to try the Centurion lager on offer at Netto, Leeds - 88p for 4 cans.

My mate bought back loads of cheap booze from abroad including a dodgily named 'Rhum', quite why they needed to add the 'h' in there I don't know.

That Sainsbury's Basic cider is actually quite nice, on a par with the 'bow, and much better than Blackthorn/Woodpecker

Its to do with where the alcohol derives.....If not all from sugar cane they have to change the name.

I was doing a little shopping the other day and in amongst the food were 8 cans of Speckled Hen.  When later inspecting my receipt I was pleased to discover I had not been charged for any of the beers.

Best tasting beer ever, with eight quid still firmly in my pocket.  A happy day indeed.

I like to think I'm more of a rebel.  A bit James Dean, but more English and sofa-based.
