and only 1 place behind Brazil, wtf is going on?

That was before this weeks games as well, though unlikely we'll overtake Brazil in the next update.

And then make a complete bollocks of it at the finals! be prepared seen it too many times, we haven't changed our spots, and still aren't very good.

I think we are a very good international team.  The trouble is there are quite a few top class international teams (Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Netherlands, and perhaps Portugal and Italy), who will beat us in a competitive meeting.  This was the case under Sven, we dropped back to average under McLaren, and now have regained our "very good" status.  I'm seeing another quarter-final exit to one of the aforementioned top class international teams.  Which after 2008 would be more than acceptable.

Dunno, they seem to be showing more under Fabio, still not the best team out there by a long shot but there seems to be a renewed assurance along with better application.

Before they just assumed they'd get results, now they look like they're prepared to make sure they do.

We may still bow out at QF stages again but I think (hope) that it will be a more spirited attempt, and that really is all we can ask for.

Enjoyed that day out, tubes were running fine, not even a delay between paddington and wembley, not sure what the rest of london was like.

Six goals and some nice ale, top day.

England beat a pub team and now they are 4th favourites to win the world cup. Hysteria gone mad. It wasn't even that good a game. Boring if anything else.

You can only beat what is put in front of you.  Andorra were poor, but we stuck to our task in a professional manner - although Crouch has a question to answer.  He could have walked!

I know it was a professional job, but people still harp on about how good England are especially after last nights performance. Yes the lads are doing well, but seriously 4th favourites to win the world cup?!!

Ok game I thought.
Very profesional job, and I thought Beckham had a brilliant game.

i can't tell if you're mocking the shite commentary but to me it seemed as if he was just pushing the guy who seemed quite fond of holding him to create a bit of space. it was unlucky the robots arm hit him in the chest but to go down like he was whacked in the face should've been a red in its own right

I think thats more on the back of the 7 straight wins not last nights game. Was good to see Terry basically avoid answering when asked of our world cup hopes next year.

The only reason England are 4th favourites is because the Bookies are mainly English and Irish and lots of English people put bets on them driving the prices down.

We are going to win the World Cup though....

What sort of time ddifference is there between here and SA? what time do you think games will be on?

I think it's pretty similar as South Africa is pretty much just straight down. Maybe East a bit? Possibly + an hour or two.
