We are an unseeded team in the southern section. Along with

AFC Bournemouth, Aldershot Town, Barnet, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Burton Albion, Cheltenham Town, Dagenham & Redbridge, Exeter City, Gillingham, Hereford United, Leyton Orient, Northampton Town, Shrewsbury Town, Swindon Town, Torquay United, Wycombe Wanderers, Yeovil Town.

Gets me down to see us put in a list like that.

On the bright side weve got a decent chance of a big ish game first round. Although, the last two seasons (QPR and Charlton) our fans have seemed half asleep. Hopefully get a game away.

South seeds are:

Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic, Colchester United, Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town, Millwall, Franchise, Norwich City, Peterborough United, Plymouth Argyle, Queens Park Rangers, Reading, Southampton, Southend United, Swansea City, Watford.

Will Cardiff be in their new ground by then?

We'll get Wycombe or Brentford as usual.

Bet you any money you want that we don't get either of them. Deal?

I think so - this is the tie I'm hoping for.

That's almost as good as STFC Dave's bet he made with me about Simon Cox.

Gets me down to see us put in a list like that.

It's a sad reflection of the depths to which we have sunk.....at least we're the only previous winner on that list.

I wouldn't moan about it, look at the list of teams in the opening post that they are going to be drawn against.

On the basis of where they finished in the league last season, they're better than us. Not a brilliant argument I know, but clearly factual......
